Keoke Thomas

Keoke Thomas

Keoke Thomas, 35, married with two boys, was born with malformed kidneys that degenerated over the years. At 18 Keoke had to start dialysis.

Keoke was lucky to receive a live kidney donation from a close family friend which lasted 9 years enabling him to get married and start his beautiful family. Unfortunately that kidney eventually failed which resulted in Keoke going back on dialysis.

In partnership with High Adnam, the SLDO Assist grant enabled Keoke set up his dialysis machine in his campervan which allow the family, after 6 years, to finally go away on trips together.

UPDATE: Keoke received a second kidney transplant from a close friend and is doing well.
