Rob Fahy

Rob Fahy

Unbeknownst to Rob Fahy, he was born with only one functioning kidney. Over the years, his ‘good’ kidney continued to slowly lose functionality until one day Rob was feeling very ill with no explanation. After some tests at the hospital Rob was immediately put on dialysis.

Lucky for Rob, his sister Jenny was a perfect match and she graciously donated her kidney to Rob.

The SLDO Assist grant assisted Rob in travel and accommodation costs in the months following his kidney transplant.

UPDATE: Since receiving his new Kidney Rob is doing very well, embracing life and loving every day.
